

Jerry Lee White was known as many things to many people. He was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew him best, Jerry will be remembered as a very exceptional person.
He was the son of Cecil and Mary Frences White.
Jerry was raised with one brother, Jimmy. Jerry was usually involved in all sorts of activities with his siblings. He and his siblings experienced rivalries typical of a growing family, but they shared many life experiences over the years.
A typical teenager, Jerry had a fairly happy high school experience, making that critical transition from adolescence to adulthood. He enjoyed some classes more than others, having favorite subjects and teachers.
Empathic and loyal, Jerry was committed to making his new family happy.
Jerry worked hard to be a good father to his children and he did his best to fulfill their needs. Jerry was blessed with one son, Scott and one daughter, Wendy. Another blessing for Jerry was the gift of two grandchildren, Shelby and Chad.
Jerry was an United States Army veteran. He proudly served his country from 1962 to 1964. His fellow soldiers viewed him as a brother in arms and knew that he was as much a part of their family as their loved ones back home.
Jerry found pleasure in sports. In his college years, Jerry continued to stay active by playing baseball on the TCU baseball team where he played first base. Jerry was also something of a sports fan and enjoyed following his favorite events whenever he had the chance to do so.
Jerry passed away on April 27, 2016 in Fort Worth, Texas. Jerry is survived by his wife, Shirley White; daughter, Wendy and her husband, Phil Chaney; grandchildren, Shelby and Chad Chaney and numerous family friends. Services were held at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Colleyville, Texas. Jerry was laid to rest in the Court of Columns in Bluebonett Hills Memorial Park in Colleyville, Texas.
Simply stated, Jerry was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by his family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Jerry leaves behind him a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life he touched will always remember Jerry Lee White.

Jerry L. White, 78, of Hurst, Texas passed away on April 27, 2016.
Service: Funeral Service will be held on Monday, May 2, at 3:00p.m. at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Chapel. Visitation will be held from 2:00pm until service time. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Community Hospice of Texas, 1111 Summit Avenue Fort Worth, Texas 76102. In memory of Jerry White and the wonderful care given during his final earthly days.
Jerry was born on April 16, 1938 , to parents Cecil and Mary Frances White in Grandview, Texas. He graduated from Grandview High School. He later attended TCU, where he played first base for the baseball team. He was drafted into the United States Army, and proudly served his country from 1962 to 1964. He later married the love of his life, Shirley and raised a family. Jerry will be remembered for his kindness and caring by those who were blessed to know him. Beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend will be dearly missed. Jerry is preceded in death by his son, Scott White, parents, and brother, Jimmy White.
