

Jimmy Eugene Hodges, 98, of Hurst, Texas, passed away on November 24, 2025. He was born in Altus, Oklahoma, on July 27, 1927, and grew up in Wichita Falls, Texas. He lived a remarkable 98 years marked by kindness, humor, and quiet strength.
After proudly serving in the United States Army, Jimmy moved to Ft. Worth and soon met the woman who would become the love of his life, Colleen Davis. The two married in 1951 and shared more than 70 years of devotion and companionship until her passing in 2022.
For over 60 years, Jimmy worked in the car business, a career through which he made lasting friendships and built strong connections in the community. His honesty, quick wit, and natural humor endeared him to many.
Outside of work, Jimmy enjoyed an active and joyful life. He loved playing tennis and golf, cheering on the Texas Rangers, Dallas Cowboys, Texas Tech football, going on trips, and following horse racing, which brought him great excitement and pleasure.
Across nearly a century, Jimmy touched countless lives. He was known for his strong work ethic, generosity, and the wisdom that comes from a life lived fully and honestly. We will miss him dearly. Those who knew him will remember not only his kindness but also the joy and laughter he shared so freely.
Jimmy is survived by his daughters, Janice Gentry, Angela Blankemeyer, and Melanie Hodges; as well as his many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends, all of whom he loved dearly.
Jimmy leaves behind a legacy of integrity, devotion, and love that will be forever cherished.
