Jimmy Don Whitley, 65, of Justin, TX passed away on Sunday, August 5, 2018 at his residence. He will always be remembered as a loving Uncle, Brother, Cousin and friend to all that knew and loved him.

He was born in Hobbs, New Mexico on November 18, 1952 to Benny and Faye Crouch Whitley. Jimmy was an outstanding Fullback for Hobbs, New Mexico High School Fighting Eagles. Jimmy received numerous awards while playing football including a scholarship to play football at Ranger College in Ranger, Texas. Jimmy excelled at many other sports in high school but in particular Track and Field, where he won numerous awards. For 17 years, Jimmy progressed in his career with Silverleaf Resorts and Holiday Inn Club Vacation, where he was a project manager that helped design and develop multimillion-dollar resorts. In his spare time Jimmy enjoyed fixing electronics, restoring antiques, working on cars and spending time with family and friends. Survivors include his loving Aunt Louis Faye Brashear of Mineral Wells, TX, nephew, niece, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father Benny True Whitley, mother Faye True Penny Saunders, brother Benny Ray Whitley.

A Funeral Service will be on August 11, 2018 at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home Chapel, 5725 Colleyville Blvd., Colleyville, TX 76034. Burial will follow in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, August 10, 2018 at the funeral home. My beloved cousin will be missed last I saw him was 10 years ago at Uncle Bill's funeral,he was always kind,loving toward family and friends we tried connect but it didn't seem to happen.

Biography

Jimmy Don Whitley, 65, of Justin, TX passed away on Sunday, August 5, 2018 at his residence. He will always be remembered as a loving Uncle, Brother, Cousin and friend to all that knew and loved him.

He was born in Hobbs, New Mexico on November 11, 1952 to Benny and Faye Crouch Whitley. Jimmy was an outstanding Fullback for Hobbs, New Mexico High School Fighting Eagles.
