Funeral: 2 p.m. Friday, November 13, at St. Michael's Anglican Church, 3800 Popplewell Street, Richland Hills. Interment: 3:30 p.m. Friday, November 13, in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday November 12, at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home.

Joan lived in North Richland Hills for 56 years. She was a founding member of St. Michael's Episcopal Church, now St. Michael's Anglican Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, William R. Mayfield Jr., whom she married in 1951; granddaughter, Brandy Bell; and siblings, Eddie and Bud Funderburgh and Felicia Cardwell.

The family would like to extend a special thank-you to her caregivers, Judy Valentine, Edyanne Pankou and Tony Berrones.

Survivors: Daughters, Ginger Curbello and her husband, Richard, Suzanne Pruitt and her husband, Kirk; grandchildren, Suzanne McDonald and her husband, Richard, and Molly Pruitt; great-grandchildren, Jake McCrary, Savannah McDonald and Sydney Hayes; siblings, Wanda Jordan, Lennie Lawler, Dennis Funderburgh and his wife, Bodale, and Martha Choice; and numerous nephews, nieces and extended family members.
