I'm very heartbroken 💔 by this news. John was such a kind and loving human. My sincere condolences to his wife, his children , grandchildren and his entire family.  We have the hope of the resurrection and we look forward to seeing him again in the new world. Please rest in peace John.

I will always remember Mr Berchie as a caring Dad to his children. Their  education was key to him. He engaged me to render extra tuition to Persis and we had very beautiful relationship  until he left the shores of Ghana 🇬🇭. He'll be painfully missed. I however, trust the Lord who never make  mistakes & believe he is in a better place. May his soul rest in the bosom of the Lord Almighty, Amen.

We have in mind a kind, faithful and friendly brother, we will miss him. We hope to see him soon in paradise. May Jehovah comfort the family.

Brother Berchie- calm, diligent and affable man. My fond memories of him goes back to the mid 1990's in Accra, Ghana. We had the privilege of meeting at his home for group book studies and field ministry meetings, an indication of his selflessness for true worship.  Although I was a teenager back then, he was another fine example of a matured Christian to imitate, one that loves his wife and trained his children in godly ways. I hold firmly the hope that I publicly declare without wavering, for the one who promised is faithful.-Hebrews 10:23. May this same hope bring comfort, peace of heart and mind to mum Regina, Claudia, Persis and the bereaved family.



We remember Brother Berchie for his love for Jehovah, his humility and his hospitality. He always made time amid his busy schedule to give us a hearing ear to our concerns and offered us practical advice. Brother Berchie was a father and friend to us all. These  precious memories will forever stay with us. We all look forward to the new world when we’ll see Brother Berchie again.

Bro Berchie will be sorely missed. I'm just excited that he shares the hope of the resurrection with me and I am waiting for his first reaction when he comes back to life... one thing is sure, that reaction will send us all laughing before we give him long hugs! 
Until then I will miss his fun personality, his humility and his fatherly care!!! 


My fondest memories of the Berchie family when they first came to Massachusetts were our rides to the Kingdom Hall. Every conversation was filled with their endearing Giggles. A sweeter family  I have never known. John was a sweet kind and humble man loved by all. My thought and prayers to his family ❤️ 

I would like to relate this, I think it was the day after John was introduced to the Burncoat Congregation that I found myself working with him in the ministry. We were working door to door in Shrewsbury. Through his humility, I thought he was a former CO from Ghana. And I continued to think that for quite some time until I finally I ‘accused’ him of being one which he denied! A better man I have not known.

The memory will stay with me forever. 

For years Brother Berchie served as the secretary in our congregation in Worcester, Massachusetts. His promptness and due diligence benefited me in many ways. One story I have related many times over was when I requested an application for SKE in 2014. Since the school was new at that time and an application was not yet available he directed me to our Circuit Overseer. I contacted our Circuit Overseer and was informed that as soon as the application was ready I’ll get my copy. Brother Berchie received the application during the week of our Twi regional convention and delivered it to me in New Jersey. I could not believe it! Thanks to Jehovah I was invited to SKE Class 10 a few months later and I’ve been in my assignment for over 6 years. I will never forget how Brother Berchie has impacted my life and I can’t wait to tell him in the new world.
