John’s service yesterday was beautiful. It is evident how much he loved the Lord and his family. I have no doubt that we have gained another angel and he in heaven smiling down on us all. Paula, May your memories bring peace and comfort to you and the girls. He was a good man!

For those of you don't know me, my name is Darren, I am John's son in law. Ashley and I have been together for about 11 years and I still remember the first time I met John. Now I'm not going to lie to you I was very intimidated, I mean honestly, who wouldn't be. But over the years I built a great relationship with him. John was a good man, he was very outspoken and wasn't scared to voice his opinion on something he didn't agree with. But he was also very caring and he loved his wife and girls with his whole heart. John was one of a kind. He could turn what was supposed to be a quick visit into an hour long conversation about anything, (I see where Ashley gets it from). I'll never forget those talks. We had our son Kaeden 3 years ago and he couldn't wait to be his Pappy. Our son absolutely adored John. You can't find a grandfather that loved his grandchild more. Kaeden says "I'm Batman, daddy's Robin, momma is batgirl, memaw is supergirl, and pappy is superman". Things will never be the same without him here physically, but I know spiritually, he will always be here watching over us. John was a very strong person, and he would want us all to be strong as well. So let us mourn, but only for a while, because we know he is in a better place and is no longer sick or in pain. A place where he can play his guitar as loud as he wants and ride his harley anytime, while feeling the wind through his hair and the warm sunshine on his face. You will always be in our thoughts as well as our hearts. We'll miss you John, until the day we meet again.

I knew John before we moved into the neighborhood because I had family on his street. I will always remember him as someone who was very hands on and was never afraid to get his hands dirty. He will be missed. See you soon.

I remember Uncle John as a strong, spirited, kind person. Although we didn't see each other often it was a great time when we did. He will forever hold a special place in my heart and memories. Rest in Peace.

John was a sweet brother with a huge Heart. He had some hard times in his life but was a strong man. We weren't as close as we should have been, but I always loved him no mater what happened.
Rest in Peace John. You were loved by your family and friends.

Your Sister,
Janie
