John Wiley Pierce, 82, was welcomed into the arms of his Heavenly Father on July 7, 2026. Surrounded by the love of his family, he passed peacefully into the presence of his Lord and Savior. John was born on November 8, 1943 in Bunkie, Louisiana to Herbert and Mildred Pierce. John’s life was a beautiful reflection of Christ's love through his kindness, generosity and servant's heart. He treasured his family and friendships and found great joy in serving his church and community.
John graduated from Louisiana State University with a B.S. Degree in Agriculture and was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity. Always a dedicated and hard worker, John built a successful career in sales at Monsanto, Herbalife, and other companies.
John’s love for LSU sports was well known among all who knew him. He was instrumental in getting the first alumni license plate in Texas and of course it was LSU. John also loved golf and he treasured the camaraderie and laughter with his friends on the golf course at Brookhaven. He was one of the founding members of the Brookhaven Links Bible Study that met every Friday and played golf afterwards.
He is survived by his wife Vicki and children, Steve Pierce and wife Tammy, Randy Pierce and wife Celeste, Jamie Roubinek and husband Jeff, Kendra Kerbow and Kayla Margo and husband Randy. He is also survived by grandchildren Allie Pierce, Stephen Pierce, Collin Pierce, Langston Roubinek, Riverson Roubinek, Brantley Roubinek, Hallie Roubinek, Easton Roubinek, Rollins Pierce, Clayton Kavanaugh, Trent Kavanaugh, Ryan Margo and Gracyn Margo.
Though our hearts grieve, we rejoice in God's promise that John is in the presence of our Lord and Savior. He leaves behind a legacy of steadfast faith, love for his family, love for the many friends that he cherished and for the needs of others. He served with Habitat for Humanity for several years, Meals on Wheels, and The Trains at North Park.
