Hurst, Texas - John R Vetter passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2023 peacefully in his sleep after 96 years. Beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather; John was born in St. Louis, Missouri. Following high school graduation he enlisted with the Army Corp on June 6, 1944. After his service he followed his love for aviation by working first at Convair followed by 35 years with Bell Helicopter where he rose from a traveling Technical Representative to International Marketing. He had the privilege of traveling to 30+ countries around the world.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 38 years Isabelle Lavonne Vetter and special friend Ann Jaget. He is survived by sons John B Vetter, James R Vetter & his wife Tammy; Grandchildren Brooke Scott, Candice Nelson and Bret Vetter; Great Grandchildren Aiden Kesner, Archer Scott, Makayla Lutz, Kynlee Nelson and Haddie Nelson.
