Josephine Leroy Wommack

Josephine Leroy was born November 26, 1933 in Fort Worth, Tx., the only child of Joe Alvin Fletcher and Rosa Etta Eskew. She graduated from North Side High School in 1951 where she met the love of her life Henry Ford Wommack. After his discharge from the US Air Force, they married on January 26, 1952. Henry & Josephine had 3 children, Gary Ford in 1954, Linda Leigh in 1956 & Larry Joe in 1959. She loved having holiday meals for family and friends….and birthday’s hosted at her home enjoying their favorite meal, with her “Red Velvet Cake” from scratch.

Throughout her life she worked, for Convair Aviation, Texas Department of Public Safety and her favorite, American Airlines where she retired in 1995. Always a faithful Methodist, who loved her Sunday School Class and St Luke UMC. Josephine was also a Breast Cancer Survivor. To have been an only child, she is survived by a “big & blended family” who loved her dearly. Numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren & great great grandchildren.

She now rests in peace forever in her “Heavenly Home”!

A visitation for Josephine will be held Wednesday, May 29, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home, 5725 Colleyville Blvd, Colleyville, TX 76034. A funeral service will occur Thursday, May 30, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at St. Luke United Methodist Church, 3200 Denton Hwy, Fort Worth, TX 76117. A committal service will occur Thursday, May 30, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Laurel Land Memorial Park, 7100 Crowley Rd, Fort Worth, TX 76134.
