

Joyce Leah Binkert was known as many things to many people. She was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew her best, Joyce will be remembered as a very exceptional person.
She was the daughter of Veronica and William Seymour.
Joyce had one brother Dennis Seymour. Joyce was usually involved in all sorts of activities with her siblings. She and her siblings experienced rivalries typical of a growing family, but they shared many life experiences over the years.
Empathic and loyal, Joyce was committed to making her new family happy.
Joyce worked hard to be a good mother to her children and she did her best to fulfill their needs. Joyce was blessed with three children, one daughter; Debbie and two sons; Daniel and Dale. Another blessing for Joyce was the gift of twelve grandchildren, Jamie, Jennie, Preston, Dylan, Cannon, Collin and Garrett. Step Grandson Robert. Great Grandchildren Riley, Milla, Jessica, and Robin.
Fortunately, Joyce enjoyed what she did for a living. Showing a strong work ethic, Joyce worked diligently and did her best to succeed in her career. She was very dedicated to her job and worked as an Insurance Agent’s Assistant. She was employed for 15 years. Joyce always sought to be a team player, doing what was necessary in order to get the job done.
Throughout her life, Joyce was a doer and was always actively involved in professional and community organizations. Her joyful and friendly demeanor was key in founding the Welcome Wagon for the Colleyville and Grapevine areas.
Joyce passed away on January 31, 2016 at Grapevine, Texas. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Robert “Bob” J. Binkert; Children, Debbie (Jim) Conkle, Daniel (Sherry) Binkert, and Dale Binkert; Brother, Dennis Seymour; Grandchildren; Jamie (Jeremy) Valendy, Jennie (Lt. Shawn) Johnson, Preston (Brittany) Binkert, Dylan Binkert, Cannon Binkert, Collin Binkert, and Garrett Binkert; Step Grandson, Robert (Sarah) Conkle; Great-grandchildren, Riley, Milla, Jessica and Robin; Nephews, John William Seymour, Michael Seymour and Timothy Seymour and numerous other relatives and friends. Services were held at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Colleyville, Texas. Joyce was laid to rest in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park in Colleyville, Texas.
Simply stated, Joyce was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by her family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Joyce leaves behind her a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life she touched will always remember Joyce Leah Binkert.

Joyce Leah Binkert went to her heavenly home on January 31, 2016. She was 74 years of age. Joyce was born in Toledo Ohio to parents, Veronica and William Seymour on October 18, 1941. She was very dedicated to her job and worked as an Insurance Agent’s Assistant for more than 15 years. Her joyful and friendly demeanor was key in founding the Welcome Wagon for the Colleyville and Grapevine areas. Beloved, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, Joyce will be dearly missed by all those who were blessed to have known her. Joyce is preceded in death by her parents, Veronica and William Seymour. Left to cherish Joyce’s memory are: husband of 55 years, Robert “Bob” J. Binkert; Children, Debbie (Jim) Conkle, Daniel (Sherry) Binkert, and Dale Binkert; Brother, Dennis Seymour; Grandchildren; Jamie (Jeremy) Valendy, Jennie (Lt. Shawn) Johnson, Preston (Brittany) Binkert, Dylan Binkert, Cannon Binkert, Collin Binkert, and Garrett Binkert; Step Grandson, Robert (Sarah) Conkle; Great-grandchildren, Riley, Milla, Jessica and Robin; Nephews, John William Seymour, Michael Seymour and Timothy Seymour and numerous other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Thursday, February 4, 2016 from 9:00a.m. to 10:00a.m. at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Chapel. A Funeral Service will be celebrated by Deacon Gerald Rustand at 10:00a.m. A Graveside Service and Interment will follow at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park.
