

Joyce Elaine Borchardt was known as many things to many people. She was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew her best, Joyce will be remembered as a very exceptional person.
She was the daughter of Joseph and Verde Satterlee .
Simply stated, Joyce was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by her family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Joyce leaves behind her a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life she touched will always remember Joyce Elaine Borchardt.

Joyce Elaine Borchardt, 62, of Granbury, Texas was called to her heavenly home on November 22, 2017.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, December 1, 2017 at 12:30pm at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Chapel.
Joy, as she was known, was born in Wood River Township, Illinois on May 06, 1955 to parents, Joseph and Verdie Satterlee. She was one of five brothers and sisters. For many years, Joy worked as an Insurance Adjusters, and was very skilled at her job.
Often plenty of laughter and nights having good meals came from Joy’s love of cooking. She loved beautiful greenery and flowering plants, as shown by her love of gardening. She was a caring and loving mother and friend.
Joy’s biggest blessings in life were the birth of her son, and later in life, the birth of her beautiful granddaughters. Anything that involved family, making beautiful memories and spending time with her sweet girls, made her absolutely happy. She enjoyed 20 years of adventures and beautiful memories with her life partner, Mike.
Joy is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Verdie Satterlee; brother, Terry Joe Satterlee; sister, Sally Kirkpatrick; brother-in-law, Frankie Fillop, and sister-in-law, Nancy Satterlee.
Joy is survived by her son, Nathan Borchardt and his wife, Jennifer; Joy’s Life Partner, Michael Spock; granddaughters, Aubrey and Olivia Borchardt; brother, Jim Satterlee; sisters, Mary Fillop and Nell (Joe) Golinski and a numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
