Sue and I have only known Juanita since October 2017, but we both learned to love her deeply.  She was always smiling and such a joy to be around!!  She was always excited anytime that she won a game.  I will cherish the last time that I saw her, gave her a hug, told her how much I cared for her and walked her to her room.  This was the afternoon before she was taken to the hospital.  

May God bless the family as they mourn her loss.

My memories of Juanita (Dewey), Gary, Lou Ann, Bill and Tammy go all the way back to Davis Memorial Methodist Church in the 1960s. Choir practice, home groups, and covered dish suppers. Trying to coax a 4-year-old Tammy out from inside a cabinet while helping in the nursery. 

More recently, Juanita traveled with my family and me on a two-week vacation in the Thousands Islands region of upstate New York and Ontario, Canada, in the summer of 2007. We called it "the sandwich vacation" because our party included my husband and me, my mother (Janice Agee,) and three teen-aged boys. Believe it or not, teenagers and ladies in their 70's do not have the same ideas of what makes a great vacation...AT ALL. Through all the ups and downs that two weeks of travel entails, Juanita maintained a bright smile and a calm, gentle demeanor, as indeed she had done across all the decades that I've known her. Even when her daughter, Lou Ann, managed to find various ways to injure herself on youth group retreats and campouts when we were teenagers. I don't know that I ever heard her say an unkind word about anyone in all those years. She truly exemplified Christian character and service to others, and she will be sorely missed. I know that her friendship and companionship brought lots of joy to my mother, especially over the past 15-20 years.

 I also recall that Juanita used to entertain us with stories of her mischievous behavior as a little girl that were hard to believe! She claimed that she once was angry at a neighbor, and turned a garden hose on the inside of the neighbor's house through an open window.  This was hard to reconcile with the kind, gentle woman she grew up to be, which I guess is what made it such a great story. 

My love to all of Dewey's children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who have been so blessed by this lovely lady's life. What a beautiful heritage you have.

Dear Sweet Hutsell Family,

I am sooo sorry for your loss of our beloved Juanita Hutsell!   I feel and have always felt that your family was truly part of our family.   We have so many amazing memories of your beloved Mom and Dad.   To be honest I was searching trying to locate a day of death of my beloved Mom and found the obituary for your Beloved Mom, Grandmother, Sister ect.     I am happy though that GOD allows things to happen like this!   I am sad for us, but I can only imagine the amazing reunion with Gary, the Angels and my mom Lona Jane Lucas....   I am sure they are having the time of their life and we so much have to look forward to after this life on earth which isn't our home.   

The memories I had with this amazing woman of God, Juanita Hutsell.   I always felt so loved around her and Gary our Community group leaders.   I recall when we all were members of the church in Keller the First Methodist Church.   Then we all ended up going to the First United Methodist Church of Bedford.   I recall when we started going to their community group and I had so much fun listening to so many fun stories.   The older people always asked me why I enjoyed being around them, but I enjoyed being around great Christian people that love to fellowship, pray and read the word.   I learned so much!   We laughed so much and I recall those times were one of the best times of my life growing up.   They loved their children and always wanted to pray for everyone which we did.   But boy the ladies could cook and we had the best time having a great fellowship of talking and eating great food!  I will always recall those great memories!   I will always have a special place for Juanita & Gary in my heart!   Also included my Mom, Dad, Marilyn & Jack Carrigan, Janice & Nolen Agee.  And the singing was great too.
