

Kanyeba Nicole Kompany Kunda, 56, a resident of Arlington, Texas for twelve years, passed away Sunday, June 27, 2021, at her home and the arrangements are under the direction of Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home.
Kanyeba Nicole Kompany Kunda was born to Talaja and Tudinabu Kabamba Kompany in Kinshasa, the Democratic Republic of Congo on June 28, 1964.
She moved to the United States about 30 years ago, where she married Jean-Didier Kunda and started her family. She was a resident of Arlington, Texas for twelve years, and formerly a resident of Grand Prairie for about 10 years, where she attended the School of Jesus Church. Together with her husband, Nicole served for many years at their local church in many different capacities. From being a singer in the choir, Sunday school teacher, to be the First Lady, she was the epitome of a servant leader. She was also a very accomplished student, obtaining two bachelor’s degrees from Southern Methodist University as well as a Master's in Professional Development from Dallas Baptist University. Later in life, she was a caseworker with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, where she helped many families.
On Sunday, June 27th, 2021 she passed away at her home at the age of 56.
Survivors include her husband Jean-Didier Kunda; four sons, Gabriel Kunda and wife Karina Kunda, Michael Kunda, Daniel Kunda, and Elyon Kunda; her mother, Tudinabu Kabamba Kompany; thirteen siblings including 9 in the Congo and four state-side Stella, Titus, Laurette, and Gideon; and one granddaughter, Camila Kunda.
