Karen Peterson Bubenheim went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus, on Saturday evening, July 25, 2015, after a devastating battle with cancer. Karen was born on June 5, 1941 in Goose Creek to Jack and Florine Peterson. She graduated from Texas Wesleyan College in 1963 and like most of the rest of her family, went into education. Karen was an art teacher in the Birdville, Keller and HEB school districts for over 40 years. She met the love of her life, Richard Bubenheim, while in college and they married shortly after her graduation. Karen loved the Lord, her family, friends, art, travel, animals and gardening. We all loved her and will miss her very much, as will her cats, raccoons, opossums, squirrels and ducks. Her husband, mother and father preceded her in death. She is survived by her brothers, Sam Peterson and his wife, Linda, and Nathan Peterson and his wife, Susan; niece, Laura Peterson; and many loving cousins and myriads of friends.
