

Kenneth A. Cornelius, 74, of Colleyville, Texas, passed away on June 5, 2026.
Born on January 14, 1952, in Fort Worth, Texas, Ken was the son of Foster and Grace Cornelius. He was raised in Fort Worth and graduated from Texas Wesleyan University in 1975.
In 1990, Ken married the love of his life, Mary Cornelius. Together they built a life filled with love, adventure, faith, family, and friendship. They have shared countless memories and touched the lives of many through their generosity and devotion to those they loved.
Ken was the owner of Kensington Surgical in Bedford, Texas, where he dedicated more than 35 years of his professional life. He was respected for his work ethic, leadership, and commitment to excellence.
Golf was Ken's greatest passion. A standout golfer, he earned a place in the Texas Wesleyan University Hall of Fame and continued playing the game he loved until the day before his passing. Those who knew him often heard him say that his priorities in life were, in order, God, his wife, and golf.
Ken and Mary shared a love of travel and experienced the world together, making three trips to Europe and thirty-five trips to the Hawaiian Islands. Among their most treasured adventures was an unforgettable eighteen-day journey through Israel. They also enjoyed attending The Masters and the Emmy Awards, but their greatest joy was always found in spending time with family and friends. Thank you all for being the best part of our lives.
Ken is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Cornelius; numerous nieces and nephews; and many great-nieces and great-nephews who will forever cherish his love, guidance, and sense of humor. He was preceded in death by his mother, father, and brother.
Ken will be remembered as an amazing husband, a devoted friend, and the best uncle in the world. His family takes comfort in the countless memories he created and the lives he enriched. While he will be deeply missed, his legacy of faith, love, loyalty, and laughter will live on in all who knew him.
A celebration of Ken's life will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, June 13, at Compass Church, 2600 Hall - Johnson Rd, Colleyville, TX 76034.
