Kenneth was born in Detroit, Wayne Co, Michigan on September 7, 1945. He graduated from Redford High School, Detroit, Michigan, and completed several technical training courses for building engineering.
Kenneth had a career in commercial building engineering and maintenance for Redford Presbyterian Church in Detroit, Michigan, and NCH Corporation in Irving, Texas, among others. He had a passion for reading and his Lionel trains.
He was preceded in death by his father Joseph Higel and his mother Beatrice V Higel (Perry).
He is survived by his brother, Douglas P Higel, and wife Sundee of Rineyville, KY; nephew, William J Higel of Illinois; niece Jennifer K Karabelas of New York, and his uncle Max Perry of Irving, Texas.
