On Wednesday, December 1st, 2021, Kim Louis Suhr, entered the kingdom of Heaven. He was a wonderful husband, grandfather, great-grandfather, father and friend. Kim was born on August 1, 1954, to Raymond and Betty Suhr in Santa Maria, California. He attended Whittier High School before enlisting in the U.S. Army at age 17 and serving in Germany. After leaving the Army, he worked at Librascope as a machinist. Kim and his wife Debbie moved to Euless, Texas, and fell in love with walking in the parks and feeding the squirrels.
Kim was an enthusiastic weightlifter who enjoyed working out in his home gym. He loved spending time in nature with animals of all kinds. His greatest joy was in spending time with his grandchildren, including his best buddy and grandson Liam. His adult children were among his closest friends, and he reminded us all not to take things too seriously. Kim loved readily and laughed easily, and he gave the best hugs. We will all try to honor his legacy by being as cool as he was.
Among those who will celebrate his memory are his loving wife Debbie, sons Christopher Bremmer and Uriah Suhr, daughter Anitra Suhr, son James Suhr and wife Megan, grandchildren Leesah, Angellica, Jayson, Rohan, Blaine, Emma, Alivia, Jack, Liam, Joanna, Jackson, and great grandchildren Jaykob, Ava, Luther, mothers Betty Rainwater and Laura Suhr, sisters Raylene, Sherrie, and Dana as well as all who were lucky enough to meet him.
Information about services will be available soon. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the American Cancer Society in Kim’s honor.
