Larry Spotts

Larry Lee Spotts, age 88, passed away on August 28th, 2026, in Denton, Texas. He was born on July 25th, 1938, in Kingman, Kansas to Floyd Alvin Spotts and Sybil Orilla Fairchild. Larry was raised in Kingman, Kansas and graduated from Planview High School.

He married Jo Evelyn Cogburn in 1961, and the couple had two children. He was a Re-recording Engineer at Todd A/O Studios where he worked for more than 35 years.

In his spare time Larry enjoyed golfing, watching western movies, and barbequing with his family. He was also a huge UCLA Bruins and Los Angeles Rams fan.

His family and friends will always remember him as a loving husband, devoted grandfather, and a generous, hardworking, person.

He is preceded in death by his parents Floyd and Sybil, his sisters Margaret, Claudine and Thelma, and his brother Bud.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jo Evelyn, his sister Kathy, his daughter Kimberly and her husband Randy, his son Larry and his wife Shanie, his grandchildren Athena, Cory, and Lauren, numerous nieces and nephews, and loving care taker Maria.
