Laurie was born on June 11, 1959 in Dallas, Texas, beloved daughter of Marilyn and Prentiss Camp. She received her degree from Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana in 1981. She was an employee of Solis Mammography in Burleson, Texas and had worked as a mammographer for 39 years. She was loved by many and well known for being king, caring, loyal and generous.
Laurie enjoyed bowling, going to drag races and car shows with her husband Art, spending time with friends and spoiling her dogs. She was a faithful Dallas Cowboys fan, loved Tweety Bird and was George Strait’s biggest fan. She was small but mighty and had a contagious laugh. She will be dearly missed by so many who loved her.
Laurie was preceded in death by her mother, Marilyn Camp and her father, Prentiss Camp. She is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Art Abair, her uncle, Gary Woods, her daughter Tammy Wondaal, son-in-law, Dan Wondaal, and her grandchildren Arthur (AJ) Schweitzer, Tyler Wondaal and Sonya Wondaal of Thronton, Illinois, Aunty Patty and Husband Monty Cook of Dallas, Texas and Stepmother, Sue Camp of Bedford, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Laurie’s name to the Susan G. Komen cancer research.
