Lawrence "Larry" Paul Forst

Larry Paul Forst of Euless, Texas passed away unexpectedly on May 31, 2026 at his home. He was born in Paris, Arkansas on November 15, 1946 to the late Julius Forst and Tillie (Werner) Forst. He was 79 years old and was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Susan Forst Parker, and brother-in-law’s , Bill Davis and Mike Dunn.

He attended St Benedict grade school and then graduated from Subiaco Academy in 1964, After graduation he started his career with the telephone installation industry in which he worked for his entire life time of work. When he began working for Stromberg Carlson he traveled extensively throughout the United States and while working in South Dakota, he met Juanita Schumacher Forst Nicolai, Jeff’s mom.

He later went to work for General Telephone Co of Southwest and that’s when he set up his permanent residence in Texas. When the DFW terminal was being built, he was part of the team who was responsible for the wiring for phone service of the entire project. He ended his career working for Verizon and Frontier Communication.

A devoted NASCAR fan, Larry enjoyed spending hours watching races and cheering on his favorite drivers. He especially cherished time spent with his family and looked forward to returning home whenever he could. Family gatherings were often filled with cookouts, laughter, and spirited games of Rook. Larry treasured the countless hours spent around the table playing cards with his brothers and sisters, creating memories that will be remembered and shared for generations.

He is survived by his son, Jeff Forst, of Buena Vista, Colorado, brothers Bill Forst (Lorene) of Paris, Arkansas, Gerald (Barbara) Forst of Paris, Arkansas, sisters: Kathleen (Jack) Soller of Ratcliff, Arkansas, Sarah Davis of Farmington, Arkansas, and Loretta Forst-Dunn of Van Buren, Arkansas along with many nieces and nephews, extended family members, and friends who will miss him dearly.

A family grave side service at St. Benedict Cemetery in Subiaco will be scheduled at a later date.
