Today, we come together to celebrate the life of Lennie Norine Hundle, a woman whose journey on this earth began on September 26, 1934, and peacefully concluded on February 1, 2024, at the age of 89. Lennie was the embodiment of love, strength, and the enduring ties that bind a family together. Her life was a tapestry woven with love, laughter, and enduring connections. Lennie was many things to many people - a loving wife, a devoted mother, a caring sister, a beloved aunt, a step-grandmother, and a step- great grandmother. Her legacy is one of love, laughter, and the enduring bonds of family.
Lennie was the heart and soul of her home, a true homemaker in every sense. She found joy in creating a warm and inviting space for her family, turning a house into a home. Her love for decorating, shopping, and gardening in her flowerbeds was not just a reflection of her creativity but a manifestation of the love she poured into every corner of her life.
At the core of Lennie's heart were her two daughters, who were the light of her life. She possessed a unique ability to guide her girls to make their own decisions, fostering independence while being a steadfast pillar of support whenever challenges arose. Lennie's love was a constant, an unwavering presence that shaped the lives of her daughters and left an indelible mark on their souls.
Lennie's roots were firmly embedded in the rich soil of the family. Growing up with five sisters and a brother, she learned the true value of sibling bonds. Today, we remember with fondness those weekends when Lennie and her sisters would gather, their laughter echoing like a symphony of joy. Despite the passage of time, the memories of those times remain vibrant, a testament to the enduring power of familial love.
To her youngest sister, Shirley, who remains with us, may you find solace in the memories you shared and the love that will forever bind you. To Lennie's extended family and friends, let us draw strength from the beautiful tapestry of Lennie's life and carry her spirit forward in our own acts of kindness and love.
Today, as we bid farewell to Lennie, we take solace in the knowledge that she reunites with her loving husband, Bill, for eternity with God, their Lord and Savior. Lennie was a woman of faith, and her belief in Jesus Christ was an integral part of her life. She was not shy to share the comfort and strength she found in her faith, a light that shone brightly in her journey.
Rest in peace dear Lennie, knowing that your legacy of love will continue to blossom in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know you.
