

KELLER -- Lennijo Goldsberry Blair Daniel passed away on April 25, 2016. She was 91 years of age. Service: 3:00p.m. on Saturday, April 30, at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park. Memorials: In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the HEB Education Foundation, 1849 Central Drive, Bedford, Texas 76021, or charity of choice. Lennijo was born on April 11, 1925 in Nacogdoches County near Cushing, Texas. She was the only child of G.P. Goldsberry and Laura Baxter Goldsberry. She graduated from Cushing High School in 1942 as valedictorian of her class. She attended Stephen F. Austin University from 1942 through 1945 and graduated with a B.S. Degree. On May 31, 1947 she married Aubrey Ray Blair. In 1954 she began teaching in the Hurst Common School District and retired in 1986. During these years she taught business courses in Hurst-Euless High School, grades 4, 5, and 6 at Harrison Lane Elementary, was an elementary consultant and served 15 years as Principal of Stonegate Elementary. After retirement, she served on the HEB Board of Education for nine years, 2 years as President of the board and 2 years as Vice-president. In 2008 she was inducted into the HEB Hall of Fame for her work on the board. In 1966 she received her Master's Degree from North Texas State University. She loved teaching and enjoyed her years working in education. After retirement she moved to Weatherford and married James O. Daniel on Jan 29, 2000. An active member of the Baptist Church she taught Sunday school in First Baptist Church Hurst, Bellevue Baptist Church Hurst and First Baptist Church Weatherford. She was preceded in death by her husbands and parents. Survivors: Son, William Henry Blair and wife, Susan, son David Ray Blair and wife Dana, and daughter, Laura Blair Tessener and husband, Jon; grandsons, Dr. Robert David Brumbaugh, and Matthew Ray Blair, Joseph Blair Tessener and great-grandson Jackson Ray Blair.
