He will always be remembered as a loving father, friend, and colleague to all that knew and loved him. He was born on September 13, 1928 in Victoria, Texas to Gladys and R. E. Sparks.
Les was a lifelong Texan, he served in the United States Navy in the Pacific during World War II. He moved to Dallas after the war and worked for Greyhound Bus Company and later for both Braniff and American Airlines.
Due to Covid-19 there will be no visitation. The funeral service will be a private graveside service held at 10 o’clock in the morning on Thursday April 30th at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park and will be streamed via Facebook Live for those friends and family members who cannot attend.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The North Dallas Food Bank.
