

She was born on October 15, 1945, in El Dorado, Arkansas, to L.T. and Eve Varnell. In 1961, Linda and her family moved to Hurst, Texas, where she graduated from L.D. Bell High School in 1962. On June 9, 1965, she married the love of her life, Robert Allred. Together, they celebrated 60 years of marriage—a true testament to their love and commitment.
Linda worked at First National Bank in Fort Worth and later helped run the family business, Dallas Used Truck Parts, in Dallas, Texas. She was known for her unwavering strength and grace, especially over the last 29 years as she faced numerous health challenges with a smile and an unshakable spirit.
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Linda cherished her family above all else. She loved hosting family gatherings and was happiest in the kitchen, cooking for those she loved. Her warm heart, kind soul, and joyful laughter created a lasting legacy that will continue to inspire all who knew her.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Robert Allred; daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Randy Kelley, Donna and Danny Busby; stepdaughter, Melissa Anderberg; grandchildren, Nicole Kelley, Katie Suber, Madelyn Shade, Charlie Shade, Lisa Sledge-Vala, Shawnna Sledge, and Jeremey Sledge; and nine great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her loving sisters, Joyce Cash, Deborah Flores, and Anita Kelly.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, L.T. and Eve Varnell, and her brother, Thomas Varnell. She has now reunited with them in eternal peace.
Linda will be remembered for her strength, her unwavering love, and the joy she brought into every room. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Services for Linda will be held Saturday, June 28th, at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 5725 Colleyville Blvd. Colleyville, TX 76034. Visitation 1 PM, Funeral 2 PM, and burial at 3 PM.
