I remember the day I met Linda.  We were at the gym and noticed a phone on the machine next to me. I saw Linda walking around looking for something. I waved her over and pointed to her phone. Instead on saying thanks, and walking away, Linda and I started talking. She talked about her family and friends, and I did too. 20 minutes later and we new friends. I'll miss my friend who always spoke her mind, never held back!  When Linda had something on her mind she could be as subtle as a double barrel shotgun!! LOL  My thoughts that I'll carry on is a woman who loved family and friends fiercely, and we lost a treasure.


Linda is an amazing and beautiful soul.  She bestowed much wisdom and genuinely cared for her grandchildren, family, and friends. Our views on life, family, health, and spirituality were nearly identical, thus she was truly a kindred spirit. I met Linda over 25 years ago when she was finishing her PTA training with my mother and they were close friends. We then became reacquainted five years ago when mother chose to visit her, but needed assist. Linda stepped right in and also gave me a better assessment as to my mother’s physical and mental situation than I would have been able to get from any other professional.  From that point forward, we spoke regularly and I truly loved our conversations. We shared our woes, frustrations, and joys and I identified with her feisty Italian spirit. I will miss that contact and look forward to our connecting again.  You were a shining star, Linda.  Eternal love to you, my soul sister.         

I met Linda being a friend of Johnna’s almost 25 years ago. We have always kept in touch through the years and I always cherished her advice, her wisdom and her kindness. She loved very hard, was a great listener and was someone I considered to be my friend. I can’t believe she is gone but I can see why God would need her. She is someone super special. She will be greatly missed. My heart goes out to Scott, Jazzie, Christian and Johnna. 

I met our dear sweet Linda a few years ago through our children and we became fast friends. In fact, after the kids stopped hanging out, we maintained a close and abiding friendship.
Linda was incredibly intelligent and highly opinionated, which I loved. She imparted lots of wisdom but also knew how to listen. We were on the phone for hours sometimes and oh boy will I miss those talks.
Scott, Johnna, Jazmine, and Kristian, my heart goes out to all of you because I know she was the center of your world and without her things will never be the same again. But I also know  that she was a woman of great faith so when we shed tears about her passing, it's not because we're worried about her. We know she is taking her well-deserved rest in the arms of the Lord. Our tears are because she's not here with us anymore and we miss her.
I am so grateful to have met Linda Ann Dawson and the rest of her beautiful family. My life has been enriched and my soul has been blessed by  knowing her. My prayer is that everyone who loved Linda will be comforted by your memories of the good times shared with her. That's what I plan to do.

My Dear Sister Linda,

Other than our parents,  you were the first and closest person in my life. We went through a lot together and the memories are endless.
Although time, distance,  and circumstances eventually separated us, it was like no time had passed whenever we reunited. A lifetime of memories keep replaying in my head from Grandma days to most recently our last visit. I will always cherish that time we spent together and our last phone call.  I always admired your wisdom, strength and perseverance, but most of all, your heart of gold. The hole in my heart is now bigger and the void you left in all our lives cannot be put into words.

Linda was a dear friend to me and my daughter Tally. We loved  going to the movies with her and Claire! ❣️❤️ It saddens our hearts to hear she is no longer with us. I send the family lots of love ❤️ ❣️ She will be remembered as very loving , kind and giving❤️❤️❤️

My grandmother was the greatest blessing anyone could ask for. She saved countless lives and healed many with her intuitive and enlightening perception of the world. She saved me from what could’ve been the worst life situation someone could be in, took me into her care, and raised me to be the best version of myself. And I thank God everyday for the imprint she left on me and the entire family. She was a mother, a grandmother, and a mentor.

My sister Linda how do I begin, from the time I was born, she took care of me, and loved me. When she was sixteen , and got a job, she gave me a birthday party., that was a big deal to me., I will never forget. When she moved to Texas I was sad, but we never lost touch. I always visited ,and we would pick up exactly were we left off. We had our weekly chats,  she always gave good advice, and was very knowledgeable in many areas. The empty feeling has set in, there is a big void , in my heart  , I will miss her voice, her smiling face, and the love she showed me. I have not only lost my sister, I’ve lost a  Best friend. I know God took you , for a reason, it doesn’t mean I won’t miss you. Till we meet again my dear sister , I love you ❤️

Linda & I visited with each other at the gym for the past 6 years.  & after discussing everything under the sun, the world shrinks to immediate family & close friends.  Linda & I often prayed for each others family, not always specific, but that God's Will would be done in them.  Linda was always sacrificing for others, both her time & money.  I remember when Linda was doing alot of baking &  perfecting a carrot cake recipe.  She'd bring a gladwear container of carrot cake to the gym for me.  I'd return the empty container by the end of the week.  & next week she'd bring me another container of carrot cake.  If Linda cared about you, you knew it.  Always a bright personality & universally liked by everyone, Linda has dozens of friends at the gym.  She will be dearly missed. 

My dearest sister Linda,
I can recall so many times she listened to me and was there for me.  I loved talking to her and sharing opinions about life, health, relationships and everyday events.  We laughed and cried together.  She was so strong and took control of any situation she needed to.  She was a role model for me and I admired her strength, character and how she stood so boldly for what she believed in and thought was right.   She loved passionately the people in her life and you know without a doubt if you needed her she would be there.  I loved her very much and counted on her loving me.  She will be dearly missed and forever remembered.  May my beautiful sister rest in peace in the loving arms of the Lord Jesus. 

Linda loved fiercely, unapologetically. Linda was strong. She stood by those she loved through rain or shine, no matter what. She was a safe harbor; being around her was a reprieve from the harshness of the world. 

One of my first memories, ever, was of her teaching me how to swim. I was so tiny and the water felt so big and scary. I’d been to tons of classes, had countless instructors, and still couldn’t put my head under water. But one summer’s day with her…she had me jumping in the deep end and swimming like a fish. Her love helped me overcome a deep seeded fear. Her love gave me confidence. Her love helped me flourish. 

I’ve had the pleasure of watching her love instill courage and confidence in those around her and seeing it reverberate throughout the community. Everyone and everything Linda touched she made better, beautiful. 

I had only meet Linda a short time ago when she was in Connecticut helping her aunt grace get better after a fall 
They had a flat tire on there car 
From the minute I met Linda it felt like I knew her forever
She is so easy to talk to and shares the same opinions I do 
I am deeply saddened of her passing 
I guess god needed her help 
In the short time I knew her I feel like a very lucky person to have crossed paths with her 
God works in many different way to join people together and I was one of the blessed ones 
I wish nothing but the best for the family

Linda was my best friend in Texas.  We both were born into Italian families from the east coast and clicked right away when we met at LA Fitness.
She was strong, but stubborn, and I admired her for  that.  We didn't always agree but we respected each other's opinions.  That's a real friend.
She was especially enamored by my special needs son, Sean, who she doted on and loved immensely.  Sean called her "Aunt Linda".
My condolences to the entire family for this great loss and void in your lives.  May God comfort and guide you.
Linda, soar with the angels and have a blast with your loved ones who have gone before you!  I will always love you and treasure our friendship.

Linda is survived by her husband Scott Dawson, her five children Alicia Sakal, Nick Turcsany, Johnna Young, Jazmine Dawson, and Kristian Dawson. Her four loving sisters, Laura Liskiewicz, Lorraine Meyer,  Lois Lee, and Louise Costa.  She also leaves behind her two grandchildren whom she loved dearly, Kevin Sakal and Claire Turcsany. 

Linda had intelligence like no other, confidence unmatched, and strength that was profound. She was a healer, a friend, a mother, a wife, a sister, a grandma, a cousin,  and an aunt.  She left everlasting impressions on the people that she impacted here on Earth. She will be extremely missed. Her dream was to sing in Heaven’s choir and she’ll be able to do that now. The love that she had for us and the love that we have for her will not stop on this Earth but will continue from now on until forever. 
May she rest in eternal peace.
