

Linda Lorena Farrell, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, passed away peacefully at her home in Chico, Texas on February 15th, 2024. She was born on April 9th, 1940 in Denton County and lived a life filled with love and cherished memories.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents Annie Lee and Fred Schooling; brothers Billy Ray Schooling and Lewis Paul Schooling; grandson Billy Ray Farrell; and husband Melvin R. Farrell Sr.
She is survived by her son Melvin R. Farrell Jr., and daughters Amanda K. Steinhauser and Lisa N. Farrell; son Raymond L. Farrell and wife Sandra G. Farrell; and their daughters Kimberley D. Vincent, Christie R. Adcox; son Bradley S. Farrell; and Lindas second husband Jesse Rubio.
Linda will be deeply missed by her sons Melvin R. Farrell Jr. and Raymond L. Farrell. She was not only their mother but also their confidante and source of unwavering support throughout their lives.
As a housekeeper by profession, Linda dedicated herself to creating a warm and loving environment for her family. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her grandkids whom she adored beyond measure. As a doting great-grandmother, she showered them with love and affection that will forever be remembered.
Linda shared many wonderful adventures traveling alongside her late husband Melvin R. Farrell on family vacations where they created countless treasured memories together.
Her passion for cooking brought immense joy to those around her; she was known for making the best chocolate pie anyone had ever tasted! According to Linda's own words - no one could cook beans as good as hers! Thanksgiving gatherings will never be the same without her delicious turkey and dressing filling the room with warmth and comfort.
She loved nothing more than flipping through photo albums reminiscing about past moments spent with loved ones while keeping Granddaddy’s memory alive through stories shared among family members.
A graveside service will be held at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Chico followed by a gathering at Hopewell Baptist Church in Alvord where all are welcome to join in celebrating Linda's life.
In honor of Linda's legacy of love and kindness that touched so many lives, may we find solace knowing that she is now reunited with those who have gone before us.
A visitation for Linda will be held Wednesday, February 21, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home, 5725 COLLEYVILLE BLVD, COLLEYVILLE, TX 76034.
A graveside service will occur Thursday, February 22, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Chico, Chico, TX 76431.
