

Linda Marie Martin was known as many things to many people. She was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew her best, Linda will be remembered as a very exceptional person.
She was the daughter of James and Rose Church.
Linda was raised with one sibling. She had one brother, Jim. Linda was usually involved in all sorts of activities with her brother. She and her brother shared many life experiences over the years.
Linda worked hard to be a good mother to her children and she did her best to fulfill their needs. Linda was blessed with one son, Wade and one daughter, Amy. Another blessing for Linda was the gift of six grandchildren, Jade, Isabella, Victoria, Scarlett, Riley, and Olivia.
Fortunately, Linda enjoyed what she did for a living. Showing a strong work ethic, Linda worked diligently and did her best to succeed in her career. She was a small business owner and had a passion for real estate. Linda always sought to be a team player, doing what was necessary in order to get the job done.
Linda was a woman who took pride in upholding her beliefs. So it is little wonder that she took an active role in her community, Linda was a frequent participant in local town council meetings and was an advocate for residents in Flower Mound. Linda worked closely with Senator Jane Nelson to protect citizens' right to fly the American flag year round, which resulted in changing HOA laws in Texas.
Linda passed away on May 31, 2016 in Grapevine, Texas. Services were held at Gateway Church in North Richland Hills, Texas. Linda was laid to rest in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park.
Linda had a passion for nature and animals. She participated in a beagle rescue and saved the natural habitat for the peacocks in Flower Mound. Linda was an individual who will for all time be remembered by her family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Linda leaves behind her a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life she touched will always remember Linda Marie Martin. Most of all, she was a loving mother, grandmother and friend. She will be remembered as a free spirit, a mentor, and a passionate animal advocate.

Linda was born on August 26, 1960 in Peoria, Illinois. Linda had a passion for nature and animals. She participated in a beagle rescue and saved the natural habitat for the peacocks in Flower Mound. Linda was a frequent participant in local town council meetings and was an advocate for residents in Flower Mound. As a business owner herself, Linda was passionate for small businesses. Linda worked closely with Senator Jane Nelson to protect citizens' right to fly the American flag year round, which resulted in changing HOA laws in Texas. She was a serial entrepreneur and had a passion for real estate. Most of all, she was a loving mother, grandmother and friend. She will be remembered as a free spirit, a mentor, and a passionate animal advocate.
Linda was preceded in death by her brother Jim Church.
Survivors: children; Wade (Jessica) Delk and Amy (Kelly Ferris) Delk, grandchildren; Jade, Isabella, Victoria, Scarlett, Riley and Olivia, best friend and sister-in-law; Denise Church. She will be missed by all who knew her.
