

Graveside service: 1 p.m. Saturday in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park. Visitation 11 a.m. Saturday, prior to the service, at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home.
Lois was born Jan. 31, 1924, in Ennis and grew up in Dallas. He attended Trinity Heights Elementary, Lisbon Elementary, Boude Story Junior High, and graduated from Adamson High School in 1941. He married his childhood sweetheart, Camilla Cherry, in 1943. They have lived in Bedford since 1972.
He enlisted in the Army Air Corps after Pearl Harbor, in April 1942. After the Army, he worked briefly for Texas Power and Light and Dallas Power and Light, then went to work for the U.S. Postal Service and then the U.S. Customs Service. Lois retired in 2002 after 54 years of dedicated service with the federal government. He also worked for many years at the State Fair of Texas.
Lois was a loving husband, a devoted father and grandfather. He supported his granddaughter's swimming, attending every meet for four years. He enjoyed panning for gold and collecting fossils, many of which he donated to SMU.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, J.C. Michael and Don Michael.
Survivors: His wife of 72 years, Camilla Cherry Michael; son, William David Michael; daughter-in-law, April Michael; granddaughter, Melissa Michael; sister-in-law, Alice Michael; many nieces, nephews and friends.
