

Manuel Rosas was known as many things to many people. He was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew him best, Manuel will be remembered as a very exceptional person.
He was the son of Mauricio and Aniceta Rosas. Manuel grew up in El Paso, texas.
Manuel was raised with six siblings. Mary, Teresa, Berta, Gloria, Jaime, and Mauricio. Manuel was usually involved in all sorts of activities with his siblings. He and his siblings shared many life experiences over the years.
Manuel enjoyed his college years, which may have been a challenge with all of the academics, responsibilities, and the sudden freedom that accompanied them, but Manuel was able to manage the balancing act. He earned his degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas at El Paso.
Manuel worked hard to be a good father to his children and he did his best to fulfill their needs. Manuel was blessed with two sons, Adrian and Tomas. Another blessing for Manuel was the gift of two granddaughters, Ysa and Leah.
Fortunately, Manuel enjoyed what he did for a living. Showing a strong work ethic, Manuel worked diligently and did his best to succeed in his career. During his career as an Engineer he would be involved in many projects across the country. In the DFW area alone, Manny would work on many projects at DFW Airport and for the DART Light Rail System. Manuel always sought to be a team player, doing what was necessary in order to get the job done.
Manuel was an Navy Veteran. He served his country during the Vietnam war. His fellow soldiers viewed him as a brother in arms and knew that he was as much a part of their family as their loved ones back home.
Manuel found pleasure in sports. He loved the game of tennis, played in several leagues, and would play every chance he could. Manuel was also something of a sports fan and enjoyed following his favorite events whenever he had the chance to do so.
Manuel passed away on July 22, 2016 in Irving, Texas. He is survived by his loving wife Juana, his sons Adrian and Tomas, his daughter-in-law Sherri and granddaughters Ysa and Leah. He is also survived by his six brothers and sisters Mary Guillen, Teresa Carreon, Berta Madrid, Gloria Arvizu, Jaime Rosas and Mauricio Rosas Jr.
Simply stated, Manuel was an individual who will for all time be remembered by his family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Manuel leaves behind him a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. He loved spending time with his granddaughters, family and friends. Everyone whose life he touched will always remember Manuel Rosas.

Manuel Rosas passed away at the age of 67, on Friday, July 22, 2016. He was born July 31, 1948 in Fabens, Texas and grew up in El Paso, Texas. He served in the Navy during the Vietnam War, after completing his tour he returned to attend the University of Texas at El Paso where he obtained his degree in Mechanical Engineering. During his career as an Engineer he would be involved in many projects across the country. In the DFW area alone, Manny would work on many projects at DFW Airport and for the DART Light Rail System.
