Margaret Ann (Cribbs) Bolling was born in Dallas, Texas, on December 6, 1943, and went to be with her Lord and Savior on June 20, 2026.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Wilton and Ruth Cribbs; her sister, Linda; and her niece, Doris. She is survived by her devoted husband, Jim Bolling; her three sons, Scott, Marc, and Brent Bolling; her daughters-in-love, Bethany, Christy, and Maria; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren, all of whom brought great joy and purpose to her life.
Margaret had a close relationship with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, accepting Him at a young age and serving Him faithfully throughout her life. She was actively involved in church ministry for many years and was known for her steadfast faith, servant’s heart, and unwavering trust in God. She loved the Lord deeply and found strength, comfort, and hope in Him through every season of life.
From an early age, Margaret studied ballet and excelled as a dancer. She continued her ballet training through college and possessed such talent that she could have pursued a professional career. While she loved dance, her greatest calling was her family. She devoted herself to being a loving wife and mother. As a stay-at-home mom, she faithfully cared for her home and raised her three sons while supporting Jim throughout his career and frequent travels. She provided a strong foundation for her family through her love, encouragement, and selfless dedication. Her boys were the pride of her life, and she was a wonderful mother who always put her family first.
She especially treasured her role as “Nana.” Spending time with her grandchildren brought her immense happiness, and she delighted in watching them grow. The arrival of her great-grandchildren added even more joy to her life. Though the distance sometimes limited the time she could spend with them, she cherished every picture, video, phone call, and FaceTime conversation.
One of Margaret’s most meaningful ministries was with Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child. For many years, she served as a collection site coordinator through her church, helping oversee the gathering and distribution of thousands of shoebox gifts prepared for children around the world. One of her most treasured experiences was traveling to Romania with the ministry and personally distributing shoeboxes to underprivileged children. She often shared the touching stories of children who would hide under their beds to open their gifts, afraid someone might take away the treasure they had received.
Although Margaret faced significant health challenges throughout her life, she never complained. In 1999, she underwent major surgery and rehabilitation following the diagnosis of a malignant brain tumor. She was strong in her faith, and after much prayer, she refused chemo and radiation, and the Lord totally healed her. She had the pleasure of leading her doctor to the Lord during her treatment. It was some years later that she endured a hip replacement and was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in 2018. Margaret also faced, with courage, dementia during the final years of her life. Through every trial, she leaned on her faith in Jesus Christ, trusting Him as her Provider, her Great Physician, and her Lord.
Margaret was strong and disciplined, often walking several miles daily until her body would no longer cooperate. Her physical discipline allowed her to continue the things she loved, like gardening. She found great peace in caring for her flower beds, and her backyard was her sanctuary—a place of beauty, quiet reflection, and joy. Today, her family finds comfort in knowing she is in Heaven, surrounded by the brilliant color she loved so much, walking in God’s garden, completely healed and forever free from pain. Margaret’s life was a testimony of faith, devotion, perseverance, and love. She leaves behind a legacy that will continue through her family and all those whose lives she touched. While she will be deeply missed, her loved ones rejoice in the promise that she is now in the presence of Jesus, her Savior!
A celebration of Margaret's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 13, at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home Chapel, 5725 Colleyville Blvd, Colleyville, TX 76034.
In lieu of flowers, to honor Margaret's lifelong passion for sharing Christ's love with children around the world, donations in her memory may be made to Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child.
