Margie Marie DiGiovanni passed away peacefully on June 20, 2026, at the age of 88.
Margie lived life with enthusiasm, laughter, and joy. She loved being surrounded by family and friends, sharing good meals, celebrating special occasions, and making memories with the people she cared about most. She never missed an opportunity to socialize, enjoy a game of bingo, try her luck gambling, or join in on a gathering or celebration. Her lively spirit and love of fun brought happiness to everyone around her.
For the last 12 years, Margie was a beloved member of the Sunny Woods senior living community, where she built treasured friendships and became a familiar and friendly presence. She loved the sense of community she found there and enjoyed the many social activities, conversations, celebrations, and moments shared with her neighbors and friends. Sunny Woods became more than a place to live—it became an extended family.
Above all, Margie cherished her family. While her passing leaves a tremendous void, there is comfort in knowing she has been reunited in heaven with those who went before her and whom she dearly missed: her beloved daughter, Kim; her son-in-law, Anthony; her son; and her own mother and father.
Margie is lovingly remembered by her son, Randy Hackney, and by her cherished granddaughters, Vanessa, Amanda, Shaunda, Shaylee, Alicia, and Shelby, along with many other family members, friends, and the community that became family to her at Sunny Woods.
