Ms. Marguriete Selma Morrow

Marguriete Selma Morrow was born in Fort Worth, TX on April 27, 1930 to Terry and Mary Johnson. She was the oldest of 3 daughters and lived in the Fort Worth area for most of her life. On July 24, 1949 she married her husband Carroll Morrow. They had 3 daughters and a son and were married 35 years until Carroll’s passing.

Marguriete and Carroll owned a restaurant, grocery store and gas station over several years as young adults. She later worked for a grocery store and has always been active in her church community. She loved her children and grandchildren fiercely and was a protective and forgiving caregiver.

Marguriete loved to crochet and enjoyed music (especially Elvis), flowers, and spending time with friends and family. She was a loving soul that always went above and beyond to bless everyone that she encountered. She had a special love for children and loved to share God’s word with others. Marguriete touched everyone that she met with her genuine caring way, her unconditional love, her positive attitude, her faith in God and her warm smile. She was a teacher, a confidant, a role model and a blessing to all that were lucky enough to know her.

Marguriete peacefully passed away on Monday, October 17, 2022 at the age of 92. She was preceded in death by her parents Terry Olscott Johnson and Mary Gladys Gattschalk Johnson, her beloved husband Carroll Eugene Morrow, her son Jimmy Morrow, her grandsons Shawn Latham and Jay Vigil, and her great grandson Justin Latham.

She is survived by her three daughters and their families, Jimmy and Margaret Latham, Randy and Debbie Self and John and Mary Vigil. She is also survived by her grandchildren Tammy Powell, Valerie Graves, Wendy Jones, Tracie Piasczyk, Paula Battreal, Cherilyn Johnston, Tiffany Vigil, Amanda Vigil, Jamie Vigil, Tyler Vigil, 14 great-grandchildren, and numerous friends and family. She was loved by many and will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, grace and faithfulness. May we remember her beautiful smile and her ever bright light that is shining in Heaven for eternity!

A visitation for Marguriete will be held Monday, October 24, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home, 5725 COLLEYVILLE BLVD, COLLEYVILLE, TX 76034.

A funeral service will occur Tuesday, October 25, 2022 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at First Baptist Church Smithfield, 7912 Main St, North Richland Hills, TX 76182. Burial will follow immediately in the Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park, 5725 COLLEYVILLE BLVD, COLLEYVILLE, TX 76034.
