Mrs. Marian M. Hardin

Celebration of Life “Let your light so shine…” Matthew 5:16 Marian Mueller Hardin, 90, passed away peacefully with loving family at her side on October 6, 2021 in Austin, Texas. Marian was born to the late Henry, Sr. and Alma (Schultz) Mueller on November 9, 1930 in Lake Charles, Louisiana. She graduated Valedictorian from Hamshire New Holland High School in 1946 followed by Lamar College. She worked at Neches Butane and then Magnolia Oil, where she met her husband, Edward. She was married to Edward Hardin on July 21, 1951 in Beaumont, Texas. She excelled in the role of mother and homemaker, supporting her husband in a long career with Mobil. Marian was preceded in death by devoted husband of almost 55 years, Edward Hardin, siblings Dorothy (Louis) Leger, Richard (Virginia) Mueller, Henry Jr. (Louella) Mueller, Linda (Wilburn) Walton. Also preceding her was daughter-in-law Robin (Dr. Carl) Hardin. Marian is survived by siblings Ruth (Patrick) Poskey, Patsy (Burnace) Holliday, Vern (Julia) Mueller, sisters-in-law Ruth Hardin and Louella (Henry Jr.) Mueller, and sons Dr. Carl (Robin) Hardin, David (Denna) Hardin, John (Corinne) Hardin, and Fred (Linda) Hardin. Grandchildren are Jenna (Eric) Hardin-Muller, Matthew (Kimberly) Hardin, Andrew (Emily) Hardin, Molly Hardin, Rachel (Jorey) Melinder, Christopher (Shannon) Hardin, William Hardin, Elisabeth Hardin, Marlena (Drake) LeSage, Samuel Hardin and Jonathan Hardin. Marian was blessed with three great-grandchildren. She is survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Marian was a loving mother to four sons and will be remembered as extremely generous, kind, gracious, fun loving and devoted to her family. Her talents were many. She greatly enjoyed sewing, entertaining, cooking and traveling and was a life-long member of the Lutheran church, volunteering many hours. She was immensely proud of her family and leaves behind countless beautiful memories. Visitation and lunch will be held from noon to 2 pm at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church at 10408 Hwy 290 West in Austin, Texas, followed at 2 pm by a funeral service also in the church. Burial will be held Wednesday, October 13 at 1 pm at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park in Colleyville, Texas.
