

Mary was born April 1, 1932, in Texarkana, Arkansas, to Charles and Susie Lovett. She graduated from Hooks High School in Hooks, Texas, in 1949. She worked for the North Richland Hills Middle School cafeteria, Reserve National Insurance Co. and Panther Chemical Co. for many years. Mary's faith in Christ and love for her church, Shady Oaks Baptist, was very important to her. She was devoted to many ministries, which included Celebration Choir, Young at Heart, Joy Club, Weekend Kids, Alpha Class, Hospitality Ministry and Sparks Ministry, aka "Shady Ladies." She will be fondly remembered for the scores of encouraging cards and intercessory prayer ministry to her church family and countless others who found their way to her prayer list. Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed life, travel, shopping until you drop, supporting her grandchildren's activities and baking her famous pies and music. Mary was preceded in death by her first husband, Howard Champlin; her parents, Charles and Susie Lovett; brothers, Charles Lovett and Robert Lovett; and granddaughter, Laurie Champlin.
Survivors: She will be greatly missed by her husband, Buel Chancellor; children, Don Champlin and wife, Karen, Allen Champlin and Karon Johnston and husband, Nolan; grandchildren, Rebecca Champlin and Benjamin Johnston; great-grandchild, Hunter Firouzi; numerous dear nieces, nephews and cousins; and many cherished friends.
