Jaci was born on November 8th, 1956 in Amarillo, Texas. She was the youngest of 3 children. She attended Amarillo schools and graduated early from Tascosa High School in 1973. She lived in Amarillo until she moved to the DFW Metroplex in 1982.
On April 24th, 1993 she married the love of her life, David Glenn Coan. Despite the fact that they had six kids between them and no money and even though everyone told them they wouldn’t last, it was a love that stood the test of time. The love they had for each other was a love for the ages. Everyone who knew them aspired for the true love they possessed.
Jaci was always very entrepreneurial and extremely crafty. She opened many businesses along the way including a wallpaper business and jelly company. Jaci was a born leader. She gave the best advice and guidance to anyone who needed it. Her love for others was felt far and wide and her loss has left a deep void for so many.
She enjoyed her family first and foremost, making sure that her family gathered every night for dinners. Holidays were grand occasions, and she made a point to celebrate them all. As an empty nester, she became a passionate and gifted cook as many of you can attest.
Jaci got her real estate license in 1979 and first started Trinity Real Estate services out of a closet in their home. After many years, Jaci and David knew that God was leading them to open their own franchise, and thus, RE/MAX Trinity was born. In February 2007, they opened their first location in Montgomery Plaza with 6 agents. Since then, with the Lord’s guidance, they have prospered and grown their business to 3 locations with over 200 agents.
Jaci’s leadership was greatly respected in the industry, and the company was honored with many awards including:
2007 RE/MAX of Texas Franchise “Rookie of the Year”
RE/MAX of Texas “Broker/Owner of the Year” – 3 years
RE/MAX International “U.S. Broker/Owner of the Year” – 2 years
2016 President of the Greater Fort Worth Association of Realtors
And the awards she was most proud of, 2009, 2012-2020 RE/MAX of Texas “Miracle Office” award for Tarrant Council for the most donations raised for Children’s Miracle Network.
Above all, Jaci loved the Lord. She lived their faith out loud with “joyful abundance”, the RE/MAX Trinity mantra. The dozens of memorials that have been written already attest to her faith over and over. She lived joyfully because she knew the joy of the Lord. We will miss her terribly but have peace knowing we will see her again.
Jaci was preceded in death by her parents Argus Allen Burnett and Wilda Jean Burnett.
