Mary Dent

Mary Pearl Turner Dent, 86, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away on the evening of May 30, 2024, at her home after a courageous battle with lung cancer. She was born on March 17, 1938, in Fort Worth, TX.

In 1997, Mrs. Dent married Malcom Dent in Fort Worth, TX. She dedicated many years to her work as a real estate agent and in the banking industry. Known for her culinary skills, she delighted family and friends with her delicious cakes and pies—a heartfelt expression of love. Her pride in being born on St. Patrick’s Day was evident during her 86th birthday celebration, where she was surrounded by the love of many.

She is survived by her brother, Donald Gene Turner, and his wife Donna. Her three children include daughter Teonie Aurelio and her husband John, as well as daughter Tonya Chuculate and son Brian Chuculate, along with his wife Staci. Mrs. Dent’s large family includes numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren:

• Melissa McCullough, her husband Tim, and their daughters Kylie and Skylar

• Logan Connell and his wife Jess

• Kyle Connell and his son Hayden

• Sophie Aurelio and Katie Aurelio

• Tory Williams and her husband Jacob

• David Ashton Hendon

• Hollie Rusche, her husband Nathan, and their sons Landon, Austin, Braxton, Judah, and Jirah

• Sarah Rice, her husband Brandon, and their sons Quinton and Weston

• Jenna Chuculate, Ella Chuculate, Sydney Chuculate

• Nathan Nunez, Sophie Nunez, and Olivia Nunez

Mrs. Dent also cherished her nieces, nephews, stepchildren, extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Cate Turner, her father, Donald Edward Turner, and her sisters Betty Averitte and Jesse Peters. Her beloved husband, Malcom Dent, also preceded her in death.

An intimate family graveside service will be held at Bluebonnet Hills Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider making donations to the American Cancer Society.
