

Melinda K. Baker, 59, of Springtown, Texas passed away on October 3rd, 2021. She was born in Amarillo, Texas on February 20, 1962 and graduated from Nimitz High School in Irving, Texas. Melinda earned her Nursing degree from Brookhaven College and went on to become a registered nurse.
On March 21, 1980 at age 18, Melinda married Donald Baker and they went on to have a loving marriage of 41 years with four children and 10 grandchildren. Melinda was a dedicated labor and delivery nurse for 12 years, went on to be a school nurse for 10 years and ended her career as a pre op and post op nurse up until her death. She had a great love for her husband, children and grandchildren who were her world and passion. She had many friends in her life that she loved dearly, touched too many lives to count and brought light in people’s lives in the darkest times. She was an extraordinary woman who gave her life to helping people not only as a nurse but as an individual with a natural ability to bring peace and comfort.
She is survived by her husband, Donald Baker, her oldest son Ryan and wife Kristina, her oldest daughter Megan and husband Stephen, her youngest daughter Kelsey and husband Anthony and finally her youngest son Riley and wife Kelci. She was also survived by 10 grandchildren Layton, Mason, Hadley, Mitchell, Jacob, Freya, Easton, Mary, Brady and Zander.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Melinda's memory may be made to American Diabetes Association.
