It was at OU where Mike met the love of his life, Dee Anne. They were married in Tulsa in 1977 and had 48 wonderful years together.
He and Dee Anne had two wonderful sons, Lucas and Ben. There was nothing more precious to Mike than his boys. He spent endless hours teaching and watching them play the many sports and activities they all loved. He was always a guiding force in their lives and the one they came to for advice.
He was a devoted and loving father and when the boys married and had their own children, Mike got to do it all over again with his three grandchildren Graham, Wells, and Brooke.
Mike's career as vice-president of human resources with multiple large corporations took the family to many cities such as Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, and his favorite location, Buenos Aires, Argentina. But after wanting to settle down to raise his children, they moved to The Woodlands, Texas, where he lived with his family for 27 years.
After retiring from corporate life, he and Dee Anne moved to Southlake, Texas to be near their sons and their families. Mike was able to enjoy seven years being near the ones he loved the most.
