It is with great sadness and love that we mourn the passing of Molly Elizabeth Feighner, age 48, of Lewisville, Texas on Aug. 28, 2023. Following treatment for heart trouble this summer, she suffered a fall from which she could not recover and passed peacefully with her family and her fiancé by her side.
Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, on March 22, 1975, Molly was gifted as an artist from an early age. Her passion led her to study abroad at the Edinburgh College of Art and then go on to earn her degree from The Art Institute of Dallas. Molly enjoyed a successful professional career in creative design and management, working in both freelance and corporate settings over the years. In her free time, she applied her endless creative talent to everything from oil painting and photography to woodworking and web design. She also launched and ran a custom stationery business, often working with brides-to-be. A lover of written letters, friends and family cherish her thoughtful notes penned in her striking, bold handwriting.
Molly is remembered for her determined, sometimes rebellious spirit, infectious laugh, quick wit and spot-on Scottish accent impersonations. She was an encouraging friend, always ready with a pick-me-up, some levity during stressful times and wise advice. Some of her greatest joys included traveling everywhere from Great Britain and Ireland to Italy and Brazil; wandering weekend car shows with her dad; and a newly found passion for gardening.
Molly is survived by her mother, Colleen McDougall Feighner, her father, Mark, her brother, Matthew, and her sister, Anne Feighner Manning; nieces Katherine Feighner and Elizabeth Manning, nephews Andrew Feighner, Michael Manning and Henry Manning; and her fiancé, Philmore Jackson IV.
A memorial service will be held at Whites Chapel Methodist Church in Southlake, Texas, in the Grace Chapel at 1 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 29. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Women's Center of Tarrant County (womenscentertc.org).
