Neil Everett Tees

Neil Tees, of Colleyville Texas, passed away on Tuesday April 30 in Colleyville Texas after a lengthy illness. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to all that knew and loved him. He was born on November 09, 1942 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to James and Gertrude Tees.

Neil attended Oklahoma University in 1961 and was interrupted to serve in Viet Nam in 1964. On returning he reentered Oklahoma University and received a Bachelors Degree in Architecture and Environmental Science. In 1985 he moved to Texas to work for the Army and Air Force Exchange Service and retired in 2003.

Neil is survived by his wife Lorena Tees, step-children: Heather and Andrew Scott, their children Morgan and Helen; children: Christopher Tees; Susan and TR Shirer, their children Tommy and Abigail; Jill Tees, her children Brody Miller and Korra and Justin Ramsey, their children Olivia, Aiden and Addison. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Open casket viewing will be held from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday May 7 and 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday May 8 at the funeral home. The Funeral Service will be held at 10 o’clock on Wednesday May 8, 2019 at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at the Dallas-Ft Worth National Cemetery.
