Newton Edgar Hensley, 79, of Euless, Texas, died Saturday, June 24th, at his home. Newton was born September 7, 1937, to Perry Joseph and Flora Pauline Hensley in Maysville, Oklahoma. He married Genevieve McElfresh on October 7, 1955. In 1958 he moved to Texas finally settling in Euless. After leaving farming in Oklahoma, he worked most of his life at Manor Baking Company of Dallas, Texas, and retired after 37 years of dedicated service. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers – Arley, Clyde, Otis and Harem Hensley and three sisters – Velvie Hensley, Olita Steele, and Elmer Richards, and a son, Michael Hensley. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Genevieve Hensley; daughter Cathey Soward of Keller, Texas; daughter and son-in-law Carol and Daryl Curtis of Euless, Texas; granddaughter and husband Emily and Elliott Davis of Keller, Texas; granddaughter and husband Megan and Mark Tucker of Weatherford, Texas; granddaughter Amber Bennett of Keller, Texas; granddaughter Brittany Curtis, grandson Jacob Curtis of Euless, Texas; brother, Bill Hensley and five great-grandchildren; Mendy, Morgan, Journey, Brooklyn, Leia, Cohen and a large extended family.
