Patricia Jane Hanks Bryant was born February 27, 1950, in Littlefield,Texas, to Lester and Bessie Lee Hanks. She went home to be with her Lord and Savior on July 16, 2026, after a long and courageous battle against cancer.
Pat graduated from Denver City High School in 1968 and attended Texas Tech before moving to Dallas to work for Atlantic Richfield Company. She later worked for Hurst-Euless-Bedford ISD.
Pat married her husband and best friend, Charlie Bryant, on June 23, 1973. They recently celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary. It would be hard to imagine a couple better suited to one another. The happiest moment of her life was becoming a mother to her beloved son, Joshua Bryant. From the minute Josh was born, he was her sunshine, her pride and joy.
Pat is survived by her husband, Charlie, and their son Josh along with his wife Heather and their three beautiful children: Brooklyn, Hudson, and Hazel. She is also survived by her sisters Ann Franklin, Sue Wilkinson, and Lisa Hanks as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Pat also left behind many lifelong friends although anyone who met her later on became a treasured friend as well. She was easy to like and easier to love.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, August 3, 2026. We ask that those who knew and loved Pat and wish to honor her life do so with a small act of kindness to others or a donation to a charity of your choice.
