Mrs. Patricia Lyndia Cashion

Lyndia was born on March 19, 1945, to Joseph and Cleatta Murtaugh in San Antonio, TX. Lyndia was born into a military family and spent many wonderful years living all over the world. Her travels led to many great experiences but one of her absolute favorite places was Zaragoza, Spain where she attended high school. Lyndia attended Oklahoma College for Women.

In 1962, Lyndia met the love of her life Richard “Dick” Cashion. On June 13, 1964, Lyndia and Dick were married in Altus, Oklahoma. They settled in Redding, CT where they raised their family and created lifelong friendships. Lyndia was very entrepreneurial creating home crafts at Foxfire Crafts at Steck’s Nursery in Bethel, CT, starting and running her own wedding planning company and was a successful real estate agent for many years.

Lyndia and her husband of 58 years, Dick, were gifted with the opportunity to travel all over the world visiting friends and family. In 1996 they relocated from Redding, CT to Southlake, TX where Lyndia spent her time playing golf, gardening, entertaining and enjoying time with family and friends.

Her greatest joy was undoubtedly her family. She was beautiful, caring, dedicated and generous with her love to all she knew.

Lyndia was loved and cherished by so many in her life and was preceded in death by her husband, Dick, and parents, Joseph and Cleatta Murtaugh. She is survived by her children Michael Cashion and his children Quinn and Claire, her son Mark Cashion and his wife Monique and their children William and Lachlan, her daughter Shea Thornfield and her husband Pete and their children Gavin and Molly, her brother Barry Murtaugh and his wife Courtney Murtaugh as well other family members and close friends throughout the world.

Lyndia will be missed terribly, and it is hard to fathom a life without her. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations to the Texas Foods Bank be made in her name.
