

Paul was born September 8, 1949, in Roanoke, Texas, to Tom Watson and Effie Fay McPherson. He graduated from Northwest High School in Justin, Texas, in 1968. Paul then went on to receive an associate's degree from TCJC after High school. He worked for Corning in Keller, Texas for 40 years and retired in 2008. Paul was a lifelong member of Tabernacle Baptist Church in Roanoke, Texas where he served as a Sunday school teacher, youth director, and music director.
Paul always treasured time spent with his family and enjoyed giving “unsolicited” history lessons. He was known as a kind, Godly man, and a special friend to many and could make conversation with anyone. He loved hunting, woodworking, gardening, bird watching, movies, camping, and could fix anything.
Paul is survived by his wife of 52 years, Nancy Coker McPherson, daughter Cheryl and husband Jim Rose of Flower Mound, son John and wife Tracy McPherson of Rhome, daughter Jennifer and husband Steve Otremba of Roanoke, known as PawPaw to seven grandchildren Travis, Brooke, Hillary, Austin, Tiffany and husband Jeremy, Logan, Rylee, and great-grandson Lycan, and sister Nancy Jo and husband Jerrell Estill of Grapevine.
A visitation for Paul will be held Tuesday, February 8, 2022, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 512 N Oak Street, Roanoke, TX 76262.
A funeral service will occur Tuesday, February 8, 2022, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 512 N Oak Street, Roanoke, TX 76262. Burial will follow, Tuesday, February 8, 2022, from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park, 5725 COLLEYVILLE BLVD, COLLEYVILLE, TX 76034.
