Payden Plumlee, of Aurora, Colorado, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 12th, 2021, in Aurora, Colorado. While we do not know the official cause of death, Payden passed away peacefully in his sleep from what the family believes was a seizure. He will always be remembered as a loving son, brother, uncle, colleague, and friend to all that knew and loved him. He was born on January 9th, 1991, in Farmers Branch, Texas to Clint and Tracy Plumlee.
Payden’s work ethic was second to none. He was very loyal to Walmart, rarely calling in sick or taking vacation days and being sure to show up to work at least 30 minutes early. Payden was a fan of all things Pokemon, especially Eevee. Some of his other interests included playing Magic the Gathering, Dungeons and Dragons, and watching shows like the Masked Singer/Dancer (US or UK versions), Big Brother, Amazing Race, WandaVision, and Loki. As a child of the 90’s, his love for Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network, and Adult Swim never faded as he grew older. Most of all, Payden loved going to the movies. He made a habit of seeing at least one movie every Monday and Friday on his days off. Among his favorites were any Marvel Comics movies, Disney movies, and anything featuring Ryan Reynolds or Leslie Jones. Payden touched everyone who was lucky enough to call him family or friend; he will be truly missed by all.
Payden is survived by his parents, Clint and Tracy Plumlee, his brothers, Aaron and Zach Plumlee, his sister, Brooke Plumlee, and his niece Piper Plumlee of Aurora, Colorado. He is also survived by his grandparents, Hugh and Patsy Plumlee of Plano, Texas, and numerous other relatives in the states of Colorado and Texas. Finally, he is survived by his best friend, Heather Waller, and an online community of countless friends. He was preceded in death by his aunt, Dina Reynolds, and his maternal grandfather, Derrell Youngblood.
The visitation will be held from 2:00 – 3:00 PM on Friday June 25th, 2021, at the funeral home.
