Obituary of Rachel C. Coward
It is with heavy hearts that we share that our precious and cherished Rachel Christine Coward, 48, of Southlake, Texas, passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2022, after a short battle with cancer. Rachel was born in Floresville, Texas on February 25, 1974. She graduated from Aransas Pass High School and the University of Texas at San Antonio with honors. She married Jeffrey Coward on October 27, 2001 and they enjoyed 20 years of marriage, renewing their vows to one another this past year. Rachel had a passion to help others and was generous with her time and resources. She spent much of her time volunteering at Grapevine Faith Christian School, Embrace Grace, Gateway Church, and many other organizations. She led Bible studies with Gateway Church and invested in the lives of many women, discipling them as they drew closer to Jesus Christ. Rachel wore many hats, but her greatest role and the one that she loved the most was being Reagan’s mom. Rachel treasured her daughter Reagan. They did everything together and shared many adventures. There was nothing that Rachel wouldn’t do for Reagan. She was preceded in death by her mother Connie Jo Hall. She is survived by her husband Jeffrey, her daughter Reagan, her father Bob Dupnik and wife Beth, her sisters Jamie Fikes, Lauren Gonzalez, and Martha Dupnik, and her brothers Christopher Dupnik and John Dupnik. Rachel’s life touched so many others. There are countless people that count her as a friend and she will be greatly missed. Her love for Jesus inspired all that knew her, and now she is in His arms for eternity, healed and whole. We ask that you pray for Rachel’s husband Jeffrey, her daughter Reagan, her family, friends, and so many others who loved Rachel deeply. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Embrace Grace, an organization that was close to Rachel’s heart. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at for the Coward family.
