Today I found my old yearbooks from Ozark and looked through them. I smiled fondly as I saw Craig so I looked him up and found out about his passing. I’m saddened and yet so proud as I read all the condolences from others. I will say prayers for all the family.

Craig Tucker was my youth minister at Iberia, MO, while he was in college and finishing up his last year. He was an excellent and dedicated young man. I am saddened at his passing. God be merciful to his family.



As I write this, it so saddens my heart.Craig was a great man of faith and devotion. I was out of the Country, when I heard about his passing. It was very startling to hear the news and know how much the family was suffering. He always was a man of integrity and an example of what we all should be;faithful, disciplined, full of conviction, and a leader for others. I am thankful for him being in my life and the times we shared. He was in our small groups for many years at Mt. Pleasant Christian Church and always encouraged and interpreted the Bible for us, at times when it was unclear. My condolences to his wonderful family and prayers for continued strength.

My family loved Craig and we cherish the summer he lived at “the farm.” I had so much fun dating him from Spring thru beginning of college at OBC. The year was 1980 and he was my prom date as I was a senior in high school.

After a speeding ticket (where my dad bailed him out of jail and my mother made things worse by  telling in the police he would never do that because he was going to be a minister!) LOL, we affectionally called him “trucker.”  We had a lot of laughs about that. And to think that was my first date with him and first introduction to my parents! LOL He was such a nice guy!

His passing is such horrible news and so very sad. Hearing of this was such a shock.

I will send photos to his family of him in his early 20s as I still have some photographs of this time - of him and the killer bees, his basketball team. The photos are saved in my scrapbooks.

We got to know Craig as our pastor at Mount Pleasant Christian Church. He was the “Bible man” we went to with questions about scripture, as he was our mentor as small group leaders. Craig and his family also lived in our neighborhood in Greenwood. He visited us and prayed with us after the birth of our second daughter. He was always so giving and caring. He was missed greatly when they moved and even more so now that he is with the Lord. We are sending  prayers of support and healing for his family.

Craig was a great riding buddy and amazing friend!! He officiated Nancy and my wedding but blessed us in many ways!!! Lord, hold this family close and thank you for bringing Craig into our family.

Craig to me was always had such a huge heart to help others and always exemplified a true servants heart. 

Thank you Craig for your heart to serve others. 

Family, know I am praying for you all and try when you can to see all the many blessing and memories you all have.

My husband and I met Craig and LeAnn when we first started attending Mt Pleasant Church. Craig was instrumental in guiding us down our new spiritual path. He always radiated God’s love for others and always greeted you by name and with a smile on his face.  Our hearts ache for LeAnn and their family. It was a privilege and honor to call him our friend!

Craig baptized my wife and I.  He later discipled me and poured himself into me and many others.  Great man!!

Craig was and always will be my favorite boss. I looked up to him for his empathy for others and knowledge of the Bible.  Grateful that he found value enough in me to hire me at a time when I doubted myself. Always a place in my heart.

Craig did so much for our family in our early years in Emporia KS.  We loved his willingness to guide our son through some difficult times.  Both of you mean so much to Larry and me.  Our prayers are with you.

Craig will always hold a special place in the Ottney family’s hearts . I remember when Craig & LeeAnn moved here to Greenwood, Indiana.. they used our garage to store all of their belongings until they found a home. We got to know Craig as he would come over to get things out of storage. 
Bless his heart, he traveled for us to Columbus, Ohio two different times to do the service for Steve’s parents when they passed away. 
Craig touched our entire family in different ways. Our son Christopher has great memories on their mission trip to Mexico. 
Craig prayed with us on different times and he always had a great message and delivery when he preached at the Pulpit. 
We love you Craig and it breaks our hearts that you are gone.

Craig was a minister at Mt Pleasant Christian Church where myself and my mother Rose Saylor were members... she loved all the ministers there but had a special bond with Craig...  a few years later my mother passed away and we knew Craig had to be the one to do the service...  we called and he came right away.. he gave her the sweetest send off... we were so blessed that he was able to come and share with us her life and legacy for her love and service for God..  Bless you Craig and i hope you two are having a great reunion...  Love and prayers to your family...

I can still remember when Craig and Lee Ann started dating. Such a cute couple. Craig's passing breaks my heart.  Craig was a wonderful person,  he will be sorely missed by all. My deepest sympathy to the family.

I am Pastor Ross Lamp and had the opportunity to have an office right across the hall from Craig during his ministry time at Central Christian Church in Wichita.  Craig was a man of . encouragement and I could hear that in his.voice and see that in his actions as he met with people in person or talked with them on the phone.  He was a special friend to me and I look forward to the day I see him again in heaven with our Savior and Lord Jesus Christ!  I am praying for his wife and the rest of the family!

Haven't seen Craig since he left Ozark, but I still have very clear memories of him from our time there.   He was always joyful; always had a smile for you know matter what.  He was always very sweet to me.  Will definitely have his family in my prayers.  I'm sure your loss is very great.

Craig played a big part in my growth as a Christ follower during the 16 years I and my family attended Mount Pleasant Christian Church in Greenwood, IN.  He served there with humility, was a strong and consistent leader, always encouraging, always approachable.   Craig’s patient  demeanor made it easy to fall under his authority while my husband and I participated in many ministries at the church.  He was a knowledgeable Bible teacher who demonstrated a sincere love for God and his word by the way he lived.  
Our hearts are broken to learn of Craig’s passing, knowing LeeAnn, their children, grandchildren and extended family and friends are experiencing such a great loss.    We celebrate the contribution Craig made to God’s earthly plan during the short time he was here.    -  Shelly Joyner

Craig is preceded in death by a sister, Kim Haugen. Craig is survived by his wife, Lee Ann, son, Nathan Tucker and wife Emily, daughter Kara Garcia and husband Nick, brother Kirk Tucker and wife Jenn, parents Bob and Tres Tucker, 3 grandchildren, Addison Garcia, Wade Garcia, and Ellie Tucker, 2 nieces Lauren Tucker, and Allie Tucker, and nephew Miles Tucker.
