Rebecca Orla Kim Yates, of Hurst, Texas passed away on May 3rd at home in Hurst Texas. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother (Kiki), aunt, mentor and friend, to all that knew her.
She was born on August 20, 1960 in Mescalero, New Mexico to Louis C. and Gloria F. Dennis. Kim’s greatest passion was enabling those in ministry to be free from the administrative hassles of the church, so they could be fully enabled to reach people. Kim’s first grandchild revealed the ‘Kiki’ side of her, and she was forever changed by his arrival. Kim was born with a drive to be at the beach, and over the course of her travels, enjoyed many beaches all over the world.
Kim is survived by her husband of 29 years, Bradley; son, Dominick Cole Yates, wife Jennifer Yates, and their daughter Emma; daughter, Kalie Lindsey, husband Johnny ‘Jake’ Lindsey, and their children Logan Bean, and Bexley Lindsey; her mother, Gloria Dennis; her brother, Louis C Dennis Jr (Kip) and her grandmother, Jessie Collins. She was preceded in death by her father, Louis C. Dennis, grandfather, Mathy Lee Collins and many others that gathered to celebrate her arrival in heaven.
Kim and Brad are honored with an incredible God-son, Josiah King Griffin; and more than 40 other “adopted” kids that we love so deeply.
