

Richard was born on September 24, 1943, in Lubbock, Texas. He graduated from Richland High School and went on to attend Texas Tech University and graduated at UAT. On January 25, 1964, he married Roberta Reynolds. They shared many years together until her passing in November of 2004.
Richard spent his professional career in accounting and was also an entrepreneur, at one time co-owning pool halls. In his younger years, he spent a great deal of time at his parents’ bowling alley, an experience that shaped many lifelong friendships and fond memories. He was retired for many years and made his home in Keller, Texas.
Richard greatly enjoyed the outdoors. He was an avid golfer, loved to fish, and especially cherished dove hunting with his friends. These activities brought him joy, camaraderie, and countless stories shared with family and friends. He also loved playing Gin card game!
He is survived by his children, Angela Lofland Kazura, Clifford Lofland, and Trisha Lofland Bowles; and by his three grandsons, Logan, Lucas, and Nicolas, who were a great joy in his life.
Richard was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Roberta Lofland and his brothers Gerald and Larry.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, February 20, 2026 from 2-4pm at Bluebonnet Funeral Home; 5725 Colleyville, Blvd. Colleyville, Texas 76034. This will be a come-and-go gathering.
He will be remembered by his family and all who knew him.
