Richard was born Jan. 1, 1921, in Parkin, Ark., and graduated from Parkin High School and Arkansas State University. He served with the U.S. Navy during World War II, and was a longtime resident of Bedford and a member of First Baptist Church, Euless.
Richard was preceded in death by his wife, Alma Dail Neal; parents, Richard J. and Ida Mae Neal; brother, R.J. Neal Jr.; sons, Dick Jay Neal and C.P. Dail; daughter-in-law, Gail Lynn Schreiner Neal; granddaughter, Anna Monk; and great-grandsons, Aaron Taylor Neal and Joshua Monk.
Survivors: Children, Charles Alex Neal of Bedford, Susan L. Neal and Mary E. Spybuck of Euless, David and Martha Dail of Little Rock, Ark.; sister-in-law, Kay Mays of Jonesboro, Ark; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and other family.
